통합논술 도입에 따라 올해부터 인문계뿐만 아니라 자연계 논술을 시행하는 대학들이 늘고 있다. 그러나 수식과 표에 익숙한 자연계열 학생들이 자신의 생각을 글로 담아내는 논술을 쓰는 것은 쉽지 않다. 논술을 시행하지 않는 대학에 지원하거나 반영비율이 낮은 대학을 선호하는 경향도 나타나고 있다. 어떻게 하면 자연계 학생들이 논술을 어렵지 않게 느끼며 글을 잘 쓸 수 있는 것일까. ‘한국의 이공계는 글쓰기가 두렵다’의 저자인 국민대학교 객원교수 임재춘씨에게 그 비법을 들어봤다.

글쓰기 지침을 배워야

“한국 사람들은 한번도 제대로 된 글쓰기 방식을 배워본 적이 없다” 임씨는 이렇게 강조했다. 초·중·고 12년 동안 글쓰기 지침에 관한 교육을 받아보지 못했다는 것이다. 기껏해야 ‘3多(많이 읽고, 많이 쓰고, 많이 생각하라)’ 정도일 뿐. 구체적인 방식이 없다는 원인을 들었다. 인문계의 경우 문학이나 국어를 배우는 시간이 많아 그나마 다행이지만 그렇지 못한 자연계열 학생들은 글쓰기에 어려움을 느끼는 것이 당연하다는 것이 그의 생각이다.

당연히 그는 글쓰기 지침의 중요성을 강조한다. ‘Technical Writing(기술적 글쓰기)’. 그가 대안으로 제시하는 글쓰기 지침이다. 정형화된 글쓰기 구조를 익혀 어떤 글이든 구조에 대입해 편하게 쓰자는 얘기다. 임씨는 “굳이 자연계열 학생들이 문학적인 기법을 가미해 글을 예쁘게 쓸 필요는 없다”며 “기본적인 구조를 바탕으로 간략하고 단순하게 제시하는 것이 필요하다”고 말했다.

어찌됬건 결론은.. 부모의 무관심이 나온 결과인듯..
이걸 하던 저걸 하던.. 자식이 어떻게 되건.. 아무 상관없이, 거리낌 없이 놔두고..
내가 보기에는 유감스럽게도(무례하지만), 그 아이의 부모님들이 교육이 부족한분인것 같습니다..
그렇지 않고선 애를 저렇게 막 놔두는 부모는 없을테니...

하지만, 과연 이대로 가면 어떻게 될까...
음.. 상상만 해도 끔찍하다.
대대손손 어디까지 갈건지... 늘어나는 개체수를 생각하면 그저 먼산만 응시할 뿐..

만 18세 미만의 청소년들은 아이가 죄를 저지르면 부모님이 끌려간다죠..
과연 처분이 어떻게 될지.. 궁금해지네요..

디지털 교과서가 도입된다고 하네요.

2008년 초등학교 20개교를 시작으로 2011년까지 전국 100개 초·중·고교에 적용해보고,

운영 성과가 좋으면 2013년에 전국적으로 확대한다고 합니다.


이게 실제 도입이 될 경우, 학교에서 원하는 자료를 순식간에 찾아 볼 수 있으며, 교과서가 없어서 연습장에 필기하는 어려움도 없어질 뿐더러, 참고서와 문제집을 따로 살 필요가 없어지는 큰 장점이 있습니다.


하지만.. 과연 지금 도입하는게 좋을지..


현재 타블렛 PC는 3년전만 해도 200만원을 호가했지만, 지금은 많이 내려간 상태입니다.
그 많이 내려갔다는게 100만원 이상이더군요..
하지만 이제부터는 가격도 크게 내려갈 것 같아보이지 않습니다. 놋북이 워낙 잘팔리는 시대라..

고로.
비용 문제로 인해 보급화에는 아직이라고 생각됩니다.

이번에 Iriver가 CES 2007때 내놓은 "Book 2"같은걸 보급하면 모를까..


또한, 요즘같은 컴퓨터 시대에서.. 이른바 멀티테스킹의 강자라면.. 수업을 들으면서 딴짓을 할수 있지 않을까 싶기도 합니다..

학생들의 컴퓨터 화면 감시를 하면 된다고 할지 몰라도.. 요즘 초등학생은 강합니다. 누가 알까요. 다른 컴퓨터의 화면을 선생님에게 보내게 될지..[발칙한 상상인가? 후후..]

그리고.. VDT 증후군이라던지, 그외 전자파라던가..(엄격한 테스트를 거치겠지만)


나름대로 걱정되는 부분이 많습니다.



보급화에 대한 생각은 지금부터 해나가는게 맞을지도 모르겠습니다.

하지만 2013년은 너무 빠르지 않나 싶습니다.

국산 MP3 중 일부가 비스타에서 인식이 안된다네요..

여러모로 속썩이고 있는 비스타. XP때의 파란보다 훨씬 심각한거 같습니다.

그도 그럴것이. 그때보다는 컴퓨터 사용 인구가 더 늘어났으며, 컴퓨터에 관련된 기기 및 소프트웨어도 더 늘어났으니 말이지요..

말 많고 시끄러운 비스타.

언제나 결론은 "아직은 시기상조랍니다~☆" 네요..


PS. 기사 밑에 게임 호환 이야기가 나왔는데..

호환은 그렇다 치고..

64비트를 제대로 활용할 수 있는 온라인 게임은 언제쯤이면 볼 수 있을지..

저 "한컴"이란 리눅스 배포 회사 이름을, 지금 다시 보게 될줄이야 상상도 하지 못했습니다.
왜냐면.. 저 회사는 몇년 전쯤부턴가 홈페이지 접속이 안됬었거든요..


언제부턴가 저도 모르는 사이에 "한글과 컴퓨터" 아래로 들어가서..
아시아눅스 프로젝트로 바뀌어 있었습니다.

그리고 이번 년도 내에.. 아시아눅스 데스크톱 3.0을 출시한다고 하는군요..

개인적으로 초기 불량률, 4GB 내장메모리, 전자제품 거품가격 등, 여러가지를 고려해서
예판보다는 정식출시를 노려서 사는것을 추천.

특전과 얼리어답터보다 더 중요한것이 불량률 및 안정률이니까..


어쨌든 주변에 지를 예정인 친구가 1~2명정도 있다..
가격도 20~30으로 예상했지만,
약간 의외인건 2기가가 20만원대 초중반이니, 본인으로선 괜찮은 가격이라 생각됨.
